    Beautiful is not the adjective I would use for that mugimage - but they are excellent coins - I am always amazed when I see coins that old in that good of condition!!!!

    I am not sure. Right now my main interest is in finishing the type set. Once the type set is done I may go after proofs and patterns before I think about any date sets. I suspect that if I were to do a date set I would do George III Guineas, but that does not strike me as easy.

    The deal is that the 1816 is prooflike and lightly toned while the 1817 is a slightly better date and blast white with a satin surface. I love 'em both!
