I got an incredible looking coin in the mail the other day from some friends. They sent me this awesome coin in a swap. It is the most incredible coin I have ever seen from the East India Company. It is an 1808 10 Cash coin. Absolutely stunning!

My pictures/scans don't do the coin justice. It is much nicer looking than that. It is rather bright and would pass as AU any day, IMHO. I will try playing around with the pics and see if I can get them to look any better.

    I have one of those too a2labmom. Most of the ones you see dated 1808 where recovered from the Admiral Gardner ship wreck. But there are various East India company coin that have been struck at various times. Yours was struck during the Madras presidencyimage
