You can remove PVC from coins using Acetone. Do a search on Acetone in this forum and you'll find several threads on how to use it properly.

Acetone (not your wife's), will get get rid of PVC but nothing will help if the PVC has eaten into the coin.

Today I think they can do ANYTHING...Just today got back a 1919s buff nick that had .....HARD....caked on....impermeable black stuff on it. I even valued it at $150.

Came back 63 and DRIPPING with luster.

I had NCS remove PVC with quite good results. They didn't get it 100%, but came darn close.

I haven't tried 'em yet. For PVC, I've always used acetone, myself. But I might have to try NCS for some of those better detector-dug coins one day...

pvc really is not that difficult to remove. you'd expect that ncs has had way plenty of experience, & it should not be a problem.
