Acetone for Clad Coins

Do I need to mix any with water? Or should I just let the coin set in the acetone for a while and then take it out and wash off the acetone? This is in regards to IKE dollars.

Soaking in acetone won't gain you anything. It works very quickly. Rinse the coin in acetone and swish it around. Then rinse the coin in a fresh bowl of acetone (not a plastic bowl, of course) and you should be fine. If you like, you can do a final rinse in distilled water.
