Yeah, I got one of those too. I'd rather have the coin worth over $1000 first.
  • So there's a seller fee and a 7% "buyers premium"?
    That's kinda lame.

Can anyone tell me what the sellers fee (%) would be for two coins each valued at between $300-$700 in one of Heritage's online auctions?

yes rj you can call heritage toll free and ask to speak to someone in the auction dept concerning consignments

    1 800 us coins

and you can tell them what you want to aucvtion and they will give you selling costs for your coins and other particiulars that you might want to know

does not cost you anything to call and find out

good luck and let me know how you make out

i think most everyone who responded to this online survey they had got one of these coupons

Although it seems the standard auction fees at most auction firms now is 5% seller's fee and 15% buyers fee of the hammer price, it is wise to check with an auction house about their particular fees. As a seller you may be able to negotiate certain percentages particularly if you have valuable or highly sought-after coins. Negotiations also can include setting reserve or buy-back fees depending on the auction firm. It is best to check out all aspects in advance.

I also sent in an electronic form of the survey to Heritage and won fourth prize. I was pleased to receive a nice PCGS MS63 1923 St. Gaudens $20 gold piece. I have filled out the same survey each year for the past 4-5 years and never won anything before. Thanks Heritage.

Awesome! I wish I had won something more than a coupon. But I don't denigrate the coupon simply because I'm a collector of normal means. But a nice St. Gaudens would have been awesome. Congrats!
