At least this guy now mentions that it's a three inch replica, although he tries to pass it off as a coin by describing it in terms generally reserved for actual coins.
Yes, it's a fake. The ad even says, "REPLICA". However, IAW the Hobby Protection Act, the coin itself is supposed to be clearly marked as such (like putting "COPY" on it), but it is not.
Edited to add: Since this is a 3" replica, the word "COPY" is probably unnecessary.
The seller, oferabudi, has a constant rotation of replica coins, and sometimes lists dozens and dozens of examples. It's really annoying because he doesn't identify the coins as replicas in the title.
Anyone know how you can avoid seeing a particular seller's auctions, i.e. something akin to a buyer's ban list? I tire of having to wade through the Ebay junk.

Check out a Vanguard Roth IRA.
I think I like the Lincoln even better!

The auction states "REPLICA COIN THAT MEASUES THREE INCH DIAMETER", so I doubt anyone would think that a 3 inch coin was authentic.
