Check out this coin. Really bad photos, and I have to say there is no way this coin is 129 years old. What do you think?

    I know its a fake, but the buyer specifically states

    "This 1875s Trade Dollar coin is genuine.
    I do not sell counterfeit and I will refund your money
    if this coin is counterfeit

    This seller has perfect feedback, so I can see someone falling for this fake fairly easy. image

    Maybe its just HIGHLY polished.....or chrome plated so it stays shiny......all kinds of other possibilities here, duh!

    This auction is now up to $650 with 4 days to go. The bad photos scare me enough and its an obvious fake. $650 can get me a nice certified PCGS coin or more so why blow it on this. I dont get it.

    I wouldnt buy it for more than $20...........and even then I would sooner take a modern AH Kennedy in cameo over that.......or just some other nice cameo...........man what am i stooping to.....I started liking Kennedies...........toned of course.
    Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.
