Yep -- a 1799 bust dollar on one side and an 1849-D gold dollar on the other. Most of my collection isn't that nice -- I happened to have just gotten those back from PCGS so was using them to prop for the "group shot."

Actually I was going to post this thread earlier in the day, but didn't want to give away the gold dollar grade for my guess the grade thread (which an eagle-eyed viewer might have ascertained).

Not as long as I thought it might. I stumbled into the quarter eagle (bought it raw as a 1911), and got the idea of putting together a whole set about a year ago after I had the quarter eagle slabbed. The double eagle was easy to find, there always seems to be one of those for sale. I got the eagle in November. The half eagle was the hardest of the bunch -- it wasn't until a month or so ago that I found one that I liked.
