Do you consider this Ike to be MS67?

I found this while poking around Ikes on ebay. I know NCG has graded this Ike as MS67 but, I don't know about you but I really can not see how this coin was graded MS67 with the amount of strikes on the cheek and hit over the eye. Maybe it's just meimage

Email the seller and ask for better pics and of the slab, That pic looks like a scan. Also ask if the Picture was taken before submitted to NGC. If so then go from there.

Lucy's right on the non holdered coin.

There's no way it looks 67 to me also.

Just to say, I have no interest in this Ike I just don't believe it is an NGC MS67. I agree with all of you that this coin is not in a holder. I also like this too:

"PCGS Collectors Universe Rare Coin Price Guide lists this coin in in MS67 @ $3200."

    And this:

"Ten day return privilege on all coins! (ANA American Numismatic Association Industry Standard is 5-10 day return privilege) If you choose to take advantage of our Grading guarantee this is extended 2-4 months. Will try and get images up sooner than later, you folks know what these look like so please do not hesitate to bid! We often totally revise auctions after 3-8 days if there is little email or no bidding activity! Please feel free to ask about our Quality & Grading guarantee and buy back policies! I am a professional numismatist, coin dealer, grader and trader and stand behind what I sell!"

I think it's just a plain scam and this seller's feedback is not good. They have many compliants about shipping and this even shows in the positive feedbacks! I will be watching this auction to see how the bidding goes and who will be taken on a ride with this auction. It would be nice to email the bidders but it would not do any good.

I don't think it will be in a PCGS MS67 holder image

A very nice 77-D...An NGC MS67 yes, but no way at PCGS.

I've tried 7-8 coins in NGC holders to cross to PCGS including 2 MS69 72-S, 2 71-D's in 67, a 78-P in 67, a 72-P in 66 and they are all still in NGC holders. I have had a little luck with the more common MS68 silvers, but overall NGC Ikes do not cross to PCGS.

With this particular coin, it's the luster that's lacking for PCGS MS67. Strike appears to be there as does lack of bag marks. Those on the portrait are not that bothersome.

Value of the coin in NCG 67 maybe $1200-1500. Check teletrade for the last NGC MS67, I think it sold for around $1100-1200.

See this seller at a show, or provide a reference and have the coin sent for a look see.

    Good luck!
