I am not very experienced with medals, but that looks to be late 1590's to early 1600's.

I am sure the people who minted this medal in the late 1800s couldn't wait until 1931 so they could use it at last!

The doofus seller is obviously thinking the date was added later, as is the case with some medals.

Obviously, the fact that it has a Weimar Republic eagle instead of the Imperial version has eluded him/her.
