And who would use this as a Paperweight

something is going on with gothic crown restrikes being sold on ebay. Same picture being sold as real proof and 10 as restrikesimage

    This example deserves nothing more than paperweight status. I'm sure getting tired of seeing the proliferation of copies on ebay. They should be put into their own category so as not to waste the time of serious collectors.

    Agreed! I was just mentioning the amount of copies, restrikes and repros that have been flooding ebay. Some sellers will say they are copies and and some just let the bidder think they are not. I don't know if it's the time of year or what but ebay seems to be having nothing but sellers pushing copies or very low grade coins for high bid amounts. What really burns me bum is that PEOPLE ARE BUYING this rubbishimage

    The funny thing is, it was just that fact that got me to put my website up. It started out as a bunch of FAQs that warned people against bidding the farm on clearly marked restrikes. Hasn't made a bit of difference unfortunately... image
