Im wondering why Yaz and Fr Robby are inscribed on it too seeing they won the triple crown 10 and 11 years later, I could see thos preceeding Mickey on it but those after? Im thinking it is not the original given to Mickey in 56?
    Good for you.

    No, I wouldn't.

It's an aftermarket ring someone probably had made or purchased as a one-off sample. Considering Yaz wasn't even in the league til 1960 and Robinson in '57, it isn't actually Mickey's ring. Unless The Mick was sending it in each year when a new Triple Crown winner was named. ;P

It certainly is misleading. Someone who doesn't "catch" that will be in for a rude awakening. Good catch WinPitcher.

Do you like how he put the rare in quotes. This "RARE" ring... <edited to add... "Can be had at your local Josten's for $599, but you can have it here for much, much more!">

It is a neat looking ring, and even an interesting collectible, but I'm not sure about that $1k price tag.

  • it's not Yaz, it's YASREMSKI (say it in Scooby Doo's voice)

Possibly a ring given to Mickey at an awards cermony or something after his playing days. Could actually been presented to, or given to Mantle fo some reason by a organization or something he helped. If it was I am sure he still never wore it or anything. It is a neat item but of no real signifigance.
