  • Looks good. I think the image may be concealing some hairlines though, just my suspicion. I've seen slabbed proofs go for over $100.

    I had a teriffic set of Drei mark coins that I sold to Cacheman, the 1913 was the highlight and had some amazing toning. I wish I had it back.

    I also had the 1911 Würtemmberg Wedding anniversary commem in a stunning BU. These were minted in Karlsruhe which is where I'm heading.

  • Yes, there is.

    The last German mint to be closed was the Muldenhutten mint (E mintmark) back in 1953.

  • The mint is still there. It started making coins in 1827 and makes about 210-250 million pieces a year.

    Wow!! There must have been hairlining; I doubt Aspen would have set such a low openning bid otherwise.
