Scarce date in top grade

Forgive the lousy picture. image

This ranks as one of my sleeper coins. Most 1920, 1921 and 1922 farthing examples I've ever seen have streaky lustre and a poor strike. The strike here is not top notch but is still better than any I have seen of that date. The lustre, not fully depicted in the picture, is full red - very scarce.

These are still cheap. Get them while you can!!

That is a beauty - you should provide us novices with which date of the farthings as well as pennies and 1/2 pennies are the ones that we should be on the lookout for, I'm sure some are easier to find then others.

  • Good advice Wybrit, and a super coin.
I bought most of my George Vs 5 -10 years ago. However it's only in the last year that I have taken photos of them. Quite a few that were bought as BU - looked ok under a mag. glass etc, do not look good enough now in a big photo. I have lots of dates that I will need to upgrade.
Happy with my 1920 though - better red than the photo shows:-
