PSA/DNA Certified Auto Question- UPDATED MANTLE & MARIS AUTO !

If a card has multiple signatures and is PSA/DNA cartified does that mean that all the signatures are certified or just the one they paid for when they submited?

    what does the cert say? if there are clubhouse signatures , it will usually say so.

    It is slabbed in a PSA case and just has the PSA/DNA Certified and the number. They don't come with the Certificate that explains about the sigs. On the submission form they don't have anything about multiple autos so I am not sure. I have seen quite a few dual autos and such that are PSA/DNA but with 4 sigs I was not sure. I would think that if any were not authentic they would not slab it in a PSA/DNA case but again I am not sure.

    I would agree with you that if any were not authentic they would not slab it, that would be a loop hole to decieve collectors

    HOLD UP! There is a loophole here.

    I bought this card raw and submitted it before the grading special.

    The card came back from Spence with a notarized COA stating the Aaron and Clemente auto's were legit. However, the Mays signature was deemed a clubhouse auto.

    When the set registry arrived I sent it in for grading under the $20 special (I had to since the PSA/DNA sticker was on the COA not the card. It came back slabbed and graded.image

    Did they not think about it before they did that? PSA/DNA is useless. now all the HR leader cards will be sent in with legit autos of the bums that led with 34 or 35 and fake autos of Mantle, Maris, Clemente etc and they will get slabbed and everyone is going to be screwed. What were they thinking.

    That is indeed scary. Perhaps someone should send James Spence a link to this post, in order to better explain things.

    Is it not possible that Spence thought it was a clubhouse signature while the person who looked at it on this go-round determined the Mays to be legitimate?

    Yeah well I feel pretty good about this one, I have had some Mantle autos and looked at some Maris autos and they look good. I think it is legit. Never seen them both on one card before, seems they signed very few items together. I guess since Maris died before the memrobillia boom and if anyone liked one they didn't really like the other. The fact that it is a 1961 makes it even sweeter. I don't think either of the other 2 are HOF'ers though but I guess thats ok.
