Take a look at this..

Linkage

HSN is offering a "rare" liberty V nickel that they consider an error coin! It has no cents on it.

Of course, if I'm not mistaken, ALL liberty V nickels (at least before they changed it) had no cents on them. They're making it sound like this coin is an actual rare "error" coin off the mint.

The mint didn't make a mistake, it just found out that the public took advantage of them!

What a bunch of scammers.

I forget when exactly, I believe it was after tons of people began counterfeiting the 1943 copper cent, there was a huge demand for error coins and finally the Mint director (or one of the higher ups) made the infamous quote:

"The Mint does not make mistakes."
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

What do ya'll think? Do you think that HSN advertising this could be decieving to young collectors who don't know error coins from non-error coins?

It looks like the example coin is a high EF, which you can pick up at most coin shops for about $10.

It's also humorous to note that of all Liberty Nick's, the 1883 "no-cents" is the cheapest of any circulated release.
    You shout in your sleep.
Perhaps the price is just too steep.
Is your conscience at rest if once put to the test?
You awake with a start to just the beating of your heart.
Just one man beneath the sky,
Just two ears, just two eyes.

The funny thing about the HSN listing is they talk about "con artisits" passing along the no cents coins as $5's.

Speaking of con artists, maybe they should talk a little more polite about those folks, as they sure appera to be talking about themselves!

I'm sure the coin that they're sending out isn't going to be in that condition, either.
