A great looking '69 Jackson PSA 9 card and considering one sold on eBay by Legacyauctions a while ago for $6500+, the Buy It Now on this one seems like a bargain at $4500. The problem with this card is that the cert # doesn't match of the card.

I can't track down the previous Reggie by Legacy but the centering seem pretty similar as I recall. It was sold less than 3 months ago, so the scan may still be on their ebay auction page if I could find the auction. Any help is appreciated.

<< <i>The certificate # on this card shows an American Caramel card of Ken Williams. What gives? I really need this card for my set. >>
Now collecting:
Topps Heritage
1957 Topps BB Ex+-NM
All Yaz Items 7+
Various Red Sox
Did I leave anything out?
So it looks like the seller may have taken a photo of another PSA 9 Reggie rookie and changed the cert # without bothering to see that it was for a 1922 E-120.
So, I would definitely stay far, far away from this one!
Steve
is placing on ebay tomorrow night.
some similar auctions from a different seller -- a PSA 4 '52T Mantle
and a PSA 7 Clemente rookie. Both had "buy it now" prices of $1K,
and both auction were listed with the same wording & layout as this
Reggie card. The thing I don't get is why they use the approved
bidders list option. If you were trying to pull a scam, why make
it any harder for someone to click on the buy it now button? You'd
think they'd want to make it easier for someone to buy the card.
Perhaps they want to offer the "card" off of ebay once an interested
buyer sends an email.
Some buy it now prices are just too good to be true.
maybe I'll roll on over to Brattleboro and take a little peek.
Gosh darn sad when these filthy scumbags are moving into Vermont.
aint' nuttin sacrid nomore? Geeesum.

Duncan, how do you know this is a scam from Spain? Is there a "tell" in the listing?
He's probably not in Spain but definately not in Vermont.
Hi,
I've just read your email and I think that we can start the deal only if you understand that I'm a very serious ebay member and for this reason I put pre-approved list, to be sure that the winner will be 100% agree with all my payment and shipping details.
This card used to be part of my father's collection. He used to collect cards, bats and other stuff related to baseball. I got it two weeks ago from my mother together with other baseball cards. All his collection is here with us in my mother and father's house from Spain. I really don't know much about this cards, but I checked the prices and I really consider that the price I hope to obtain is the best price.
I have to tell you that I have other serious offers that I have to consider and I will make a decision regarding this sale function of the time of payment and price. The price I hope to obtain is $5100 (this price includes the shipping and insurance) and if you agree with this price we can start to complete the transaction.
I know from my experience that the best deals are closed when the risk involved is minimum. You will have to make a bank wire transfer from your bank account into my bank account for $5,100. Once the money will be in my bank account I will proceed with the shipping. The shipping and insurance costs are included in the total price.
If you decide to make the payment in this way then I will forward you my bank account information. I will take care of the shipping process. You just have to tell me the ship to address. You will receive the card in 3 business days anywhere within USA.
If you agree with these terms, let me know a.s.a.p. and I will be more than glad to start to complete the transaction with you.
Best regards,
Derek Wishart
Buddy;
The jig is up. It is obvious that the serial number on this card is fake. It doesn't match according to PSA's online records. This information has been passed onto eBay and the FBI. Hope you like handcuffs and showers with men.
Maybe he'll go back under that Spanish Moss he crawled out from.
