Sports Card Forum: No Trade Zone - Yes Friend Zone

I know that trading here is not truly appropriate and the banter over who takes more juice or my team is better than yours is "on the edge" of acceptability - however, I would like to quickly talk about a tremendous by-product of this forum that speaks louder than Bonds and his 'record' - Friendship in a pure and simple fashion borne out of microchips, glass, wire and plastic/metal components - those who have traded know each other in a different but special way - I have completed a set and received more than cardboard for my efforts. I now have in front of me a 'vintage' Dean STONE 55T card from Bearsnum34, an autographed Tom Glavine ball from Kuhlmann and a PSA 9 JDDrew from Bengineno9 who knows I am a Braves fan and Chris knows I am a big Glavine/Maddux fan. Along with some great experiences talking with all of you, I just wanted to thank these people for adding a "personal" touch to the moment for me. When we exchange, we find out we have way more in common than just a hobby. I know this does not have an MTV generation 'edge' and may sound corny but I just wanted to contrast this from the other experiences which, at times, can color our experience here.

    Addendum:
I am so sorry for leaving out the fact that a few weeks ago a really great guy came onto the boards and lit them up with his artwork and brightened our posts! That guy was 'Jim' aka Aknot.
