1990-91 7th inning sketch Q

Were the pack cards different than the factory set cards?? Who would fake a Keith Primeau?? I have 2 Keith Primeau's 90-91 7th inning sketch that I bought at a show. One is about a milimeter wider than the other. Same pic, Both are centered 50/50 and the thicker one has thicker borders to compensate for the extra width. In addition, the back on the thicker one is navy blue and the thinner is aqua blue. The thicker has a thicker deeper black than the thinner, AND why these HAVE to be different is the "KEITH PRIMEAU" font is noticeably smaller by a few points on the thicker card than the thinner card. Any explanation appreciated as I have a feeling there may be rarer variations than people know about as factory sets were quite limited to like 3-6k sets! And if this is true, than there may be some nicer cards Thanks!!! I'm spastic and don't know how to create a link tothe scans and they're too big to upload. Send me an email and I'll gladly send the scans to you. Thanks!!!

  • hey,
I bought a few boxes of this stuff way back when, I would be very suspicious of differing coloration on the backs, all the ones I have are the same, hope this helps you out

I only ever collected WHL and OHL cards from that year, and only from packs, but given the overall quality of SIS issues, it would not surprise me in the least if they are both legitimate cards from different print runs in the same year.
