Just took a peek at... sure looks smelly to me! Who the heck is PCG grading? And if that is a real Mantle, why send it to them? The scan ain't too good so it's hard to tell much, but the colors and stock look very drab, making me wonder if it's just a plain ol' fake, not even a doctored authentic 1952 card...

If it's not graded by PSA (preferably), GAI, BGS, or SGC, I would stay WAY, WAY, WAY, far away!

Yeah, something JDLR (Just doesn't look right) did you see their other auctions?
    '51 Bowman Mantle PCG 9.5
    '51 Bowman Mays PCG 9.5
    '68 Topps Ryan PCG 10
    '52 Topps Mantle PCG 9.5

Anyone who has those cards knows what they have. They don't send them to PCG to be graded. At least, I can't believe they would. I highly doubt some local card shop referred them to PCG. But, anything is possible.

    might not be counterfeit,
but is surely altered/trimmed if it is not.

basically there is a reason it is in that slab
as opposed to the REAL slabs!

Wow...you are preceptive...this card is a phony as it gets...I wouldn't touch with a 10 ft pole (as we use to say)...

Couldn't be that bold could he?

Looking at the 51 Bowman, not the Topps.
But there is obviously something going on.

I'll betcha a few bucks that that crappy '51 reprint shows up in a PSA 8 holder being auctioned off by this loser within the next month or so. Either that or a PCG holder. Either way, stay away. Hey that rhymes image
You spilled WHAT on my 1952 Topps Mantle?!?!?! Doh!!

No, not the same card. Unless he buried it in his front yard for a night to "dirty" it up a little. Seems awfully fishy having those 4 cards and even more fishy that they are graded by some fly by night, backyard pole building grading company.
  • Come on, Envoy....PCG is a top notch grading company, even better than PSA.

Dang, I can't even type that without busting out laughing.. image

He's selling a 51 Bowman - could he make the reprint look old and pass it off?
The back of the card card says it's not original right?

Seller's payment instructions & return policy:
All sales on graded cards are final. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. I will close early for the right offer. Thank you.

Offering the opportunity to buy the listed item outside of eBay is considered circumvention of eBay's fees. All of his auctions will get shut down if someone reports this to eBay.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! image Stay from from these idiots. This was one of the companies I stated under the other thread (next page) "He who starts his own company set his own price".
I'm actually surprised that they finally changed holders. They were using the 4 screw down holders with divets to replace the screws, and covered it with a hologram sticker on each corner where the screws are. Their website is Prochoicegrading.com

What's even more hilarious is their email is a hotmail address. They can't even afford to get their own domain image

If anyone is willing to fork out that kind of cash for vintage card in a slabbed basement operated gig; then he/she deserves to get burned.

Check out auction # 4126088683 . I don't know how to attach that auction on here; but apparently his 1951 replica has been through an "aging process" as he puts it to give it a more vintage look.

All the reprints seem to be on super high white paper stock. Leave it in the sun and it will turn yellow?
Throw some dirt on it and let some cars run over it.......hell.....take a big crap on it.
Anything is possible to make it look worn and abused and pass thru with ProChoiceGrading image

Guaranteed they're sitting at their pc thinkgin "no way I am going to get this card so cheap!!! I am gonna send it to PSA and it's gonna be an 8 or a 9 for sure and I'm gonna buy a house!!!!"

    ...3 weeks later...
"Man that sumbit*h ran off with my money, this card is trimmed/fake, I want my money back!!!"

or... he'll be on this board talking about how PSA sucks and doesn't know what they're doing.
