How do you report a fraudulent auction to eBay?

I don't know why anyone would use such a high profile card to run a scam but here it is:

1969 PSA 10 Reggie Jackson rookie (1/1)

Can someone report this to eBay or inform me how to do it?

Thanks.

Help me out. Im still "learning". How do you know it is not the "one"? Im all for getting rid of scum but what (unless of course YOU are the owner of the one) leads you to believe it is a fraudulent auction?

Thanks for spotting this! I think Dmitri Young owns this card... I doubt that a guy from Ozark would be selling it for him! LOL! What a dumb a$$!

I have reported him to eBay and emailed him as well.

this is the link for contacting eBay regarding fraudulent listings:

Hopefully, he'll go away before he scams anyone of serious money.

Wow. Thanks. Is there a known "list" for owners of items like this? Or is it a "common" knowledge thing. It would be nice to have a database of sorts that tracks this information.

  • Biggest red flag to me its a fraud the bidderes ID kept private. I have seen one seller sell hundreds of ungraded Gordie Howe rookies. Sold 10 in a three week period all strangely used the same photo and the seller had private FB and the auction was private. Ebay's response not enough evidense exists to prove this is a fake. Not to mention the guys other cards he offered were 86 Fleer Jordan, Gretzky, Roy and Lemieux rookies.

Not that I would bid on it, but others that may not know this might. Also looking at it what can Ebay do? It "appears" to be very valid. They can only do so much. It would be nice if PSA could give "unique" items like this "hidden" numbers, and or some type of database to keep crap like this from happening.

PSA just graded their first Jackson rookie in a 10. One of the last SMR issues (with Reggie on the cover) had the article.
The guy joined ebay the day the auction went live...not that there's anything wrong with that per se, but you'd think a seller of such a card would have had an ebay user name before.

I learned that Young owned this card in a previous thread that mentioned him... I guess he's quite the high profile collector... if you hobnob enough with the guys that are in the know, lots of bits of useful information can be picked up.

But, more obviously, the SMR article 2 months ago stated that the owner of this card just had it graded and had no intention of selling it! You'd think that the joker listing this would know that any real deep pocket bidder would have access to SMR and know all about the card!

Private auctions are usually a red flag to me because the seller knows this prevents people from contacting the bidders to alert them to fraud. It can be good at time I suppose (to protect the privacy of people bidding on objectionable material?). But for baseball cards there is no reason to have it.

If you see other auctions like the ones "sportsandmore' (welcome aboard!) has seen, just keep reporting them at the link I placed in my earlier post here... you can also notify the FBI through eBay as well. Any time I have done this, the auction almost always "goes away"... what more can we do?
