Help! Please .. I don't know what to do

My most valueable coin, my 1913 gold soverign that is certified AU 55 UNC details by ANACS. As I took it out of my wallet it slipped from my hands and fell on the hard tile floor. It now has a large crack in it and I don't believe its sonically field. What should I do? I lost the paperwork for it and I don't know if i can resubmit it to ANACS for them to put it in a new holder.

PLEASE help.

Yes you can send it to them in the cracked slab and have it reholdered.
    Costs $5 + shipping.

Need to go to their web site and get another submission form.

It fell on hard tile floor. I noticed mostly it cracked on the inside, but the crack wasn't anywhere near the coin. Is this a safety feature? I also thought they'd be more sturdy than this image

Are PCGS and NGC more crack resistant?

So to send it in to get it into a different holder I have to pay:

    $05 for the new holder.
$20 for the 5 day service.
    $13 for shipping.

So thats $38. So it's going to cost me more just to get it in for a new holder?

    :::sigh:::

Several years ago I had a PCGS slab I bought damaged by the USPS. The slab was cracked in two (i.e., it was in two pieces), just above the coin. PCGS reslabbed it for $5.image

I've never dealt with ANACS on a cracked slab, but your damaged slab sounds like it was in better shape than mine was .

I'm really confused, how fast of service can I choose than? Can I choose the 2 day service? Or do I have to choose the slowest service??

Best bet is to call them in the AM. ANACS Customer Service: 1-800-888-1861, Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm EST.

I have shool at that time; I can't. I know everything just a bit confused on what service to select since the coin is already graded. What speed do I choose? Or do they just do the slowest service available? (economy? image )

I'd go the cheapest route if the coin is a permanent resident in your collection. I figure why add to the cost of it? But on the flip side
I like all my coins to be home with me!

Reholder is the service. Just check that and leave the rest of the service part blank.
Its like pcgs they reholder it when they get to it. It probably won't take them very long.

Based on what I have seen of "GoldCoinLover" on the Darkside, this story may very well be something he has made up to entertain himself. He told us his 1913 Sovereign came back Net VF-35 and then a fed days later said it came back Net AU-55. He said he made up the VF-35 story for kicks!

A quick search showed no fewer that twenty threads related to the retarded saga of this of this stupid coin.

His entire body of posts is fishy. I guess he's posting this nonsense here now because the people in World Coin forum got tired of being jerked around.

No I'm posting this because it really happened and I wasn't sure what to do. I appreciate all the helpful advice but its pretty harsh to call me a "troll", or something like that.

I had it in my wallet because I was vistiting a friend and wanted to show it to him. Thanks to all the people who responded with mature posts explaining the answer to my question(s). I was pretty upset when it cracked, and I paniced. No need to take advantage over me and starting harassing me (for the people that did). Like I said; I just didn't know what speed of service to select since it was already graded. Placid answered my question (maybe someone else too) and said I do not need to select that box and they will get to it.

Sorry folks, I forgot I was going to take a picture of it and sealed it in bubble wrap on mistake. I'm going to ship it to ANACS. I'd take it out to take a picture but I don't want to damage the wrap.

For those who were really interested in how bad the crack was: It wasn't that bad. It cracked mostly inside the holder and didn't crack near the gold coin. Thanks to everyone on the advice!

GCL, what happened on the World coin forum is what's happening here. You've received some good advice-now follow it!

Do not continue asking inane, repetitive questions. Rephrasing a question won't get you a different answer. In fact asking the same question over and over and expecting a different answer could be an indicator of something...hmmmmm.

A quick search showed no fewer that twenty threads related to the retarded saga of this of this stupid coin.- Amen to that.

I seal things in bubble wrap without knowing it all the time, it is really easy to do. In fact once I could not find my dog for a week only to find that he had been wrapped in bubble wrap and had Registered Mail stickers all over him!

Post a picture of the cracked slab, or of the coin (you posted a pic on the Darkside a while back where did it go)? Come up with some proof and I'll be first to say "I'm sorry" for doubting you!

Post anywhere you want to at any time you want to, I don't care, I also don't care if you don't post at this point. You lied about the coin on the Darkside and now you expect all of us to trust you, sorry, but that is just not the way it works!
