Illinois residents Everyone ok?

I have a question...

Is Joliet not too far away from Napervillie?I think so but not sure.

I have some friends in Naperville I can't get in touch with and want to find out if they are OK after the disaster that took place out there.

Hope everyone on the board is safe.

    Tornado ripped through 4 counties.
  • A tornado touched down in Utica, IL. I live right near O'Hare Airport and pretty much never heard of this little town. It wrecked a tavern and killed 4 people. A few more were injured. Joliet is south of me about 45 minutes, and Naperville isn't too close.

Anyway, that is the only reports I heard. No other major damages/injuries. Some power lines went down and screwed several towns for awhile, but that's about it.

7 MVP awards, the single season HR record, career walks record, single season walks record, 700HR/500SB, and two batting titles near 40 years old. How can one argue that those aren't stats of the greatest to ever play the game??? All this and there is still more to come!!!! Bonds:2005 NL MVP. Or are you going to doubt him again?

I live in Naperville (Aurora actually right on the border) and all is fine. Joliet is about 30 minutes away. The sirens went off but no damage. article

  • I live in Waukegan, which is north of "Tornado Alley" where they can get some pretty nasty weather that always seems to track south of Chicago. I have never seen a Tornado and I hope I never do. We lost power at some point in the night, because my alarm didn't go off and I was late to work. image

  • Interestingly, the Tribune website shows a woman cleaning up trash in an Indiana town right across the border. And the caption notes that she is picking up a neighbor's baseball cards.

Come to think of it I wonder how many great disasters have taken a monster collection and scattered it all about with the usual occasional tractor trailer.

    Still no word but
I'm to understand Naperville is ok.

Hope everyone from the board out there is too.

    Thanks!
