I have a question...

Is Joliet not too far away from Napervillie?I think so but not sure.

I have some friends in Naperville I can't get in touch with and want to find out if they are OK after the disaster that took place out there.

My trusty atlas shows Naperville is not far from Joliet... about 15 miles due North and 15 miles southwest of Chicago. I hope your friends are safe. Good luck contacting them.

RobE- I didnt hear Naperville mentioned once on the news last night, nor was it mentioned in the papers. When it comes to Illinois tornados, 15 miles is a long way away. However, I did hear that over 100,000 homes were without electricity which might have stretched to Naperville. I hope all is well.

Listening to the news today, the hardest hit was Utica - about 75 mi SW of Joliet. To my knowledge, none of the suburbs was hit. Just smaller towns well outside what's considered Chicagoland.
