Okay I admit it. I Lied

In a thread earlier this year I said that I would not start any new sets till I completed the ones I'm currently working on. Well I succumbed to temptation and bought a few 64 Topps Giants. What great looking cards! So now I'm working on that set and am halfway through. I would be interested in any PSA 9's anyone would have to offer.

Than Jasp24, Uncle Joe and the other "Football Band of Brothers" compiled the all new ALL-Time NFL Defense set. Since "football is my passion", I've started scouring for the cards in that set.

Lastly, I purchased some lots of 73 Baseball on Ebay on a whim. 71-75 were my prime collecting years and 73 reminded me of my first grade school crush. Her name was Toni and she had almond eyes with long chestnut brown hair. The fact that she was the first "fully developed" girl in our class was not a factor in why I was attracted to herimage
Aaah, the memories.
Anyway, I am also looking for 1973 PSA 8 graded baseball commons. PM or email with your extras and prices.

    Frank,

    For Shame,For Shame,For Shame !!!!!!!!,

Which 73 card reminds you most of your first crush. That's either one pretty baseball player or one ugly girl. image

Or maybe "fully developed" has something to do with it. Could you please clarify "fully developed" ??

Cards and temptation do not go well together.....

By admitting your dishonesty publically, you have just completed step 5 (or is it 6 ?) on your road to being a recovering cardaholic. image

    Way to go !!!!!

Please be kind to me. Even though I'm now a former postal employee, I'm still capable of snapping at any time.

I noticed that when you posted your set. I have many of the cards too. I'll try posting my set this weekend and work on it from there.

Tipem- Only the year reminded me of her. Not the cards.

As for "fully developed", well I'll leave that up to your overactive imaginationimage

  • Frank - Congrats on starting the Topps Giants set. Its my favorite. As many have noted before, some 9's have appeared frequently in the past, but there are about 10 of them that are difficult to find.

However, contrary to the "dime a dozen" viewpoints, there havent been a lot of high grade 9's and higher cards that have appeared recently.

Good luck with the set !!
  • Cubsfan- I've picked up about 1/2 dozen 9's so far. I'll complete the set in 8 and than upgrade when possible. At 60 cards it's very doable and I love the crisp photography and color of the cards.

The 73 set will be more of a challenge. I'll be happy to do the set in PSA 8 and I've picked up about 40 commons so far at grading fee ($5) or less.
