  • Slabs go in the PCGS Slab Boxes, raw go into 2x2 cardboard flips and then are rubberbanded together so they don't move too much... I need to get one of those cardboard boxes for 2x2s...

I keep my collection at PCGS but they keep sending them out to other people image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • In my closet raw together, without flips in a bag. I had only enough PVC flips for a few coins.

I keep my coins in a hole in the Charter oak tree. Rather appropriate

    for a coin collection.

NGC boxes in a large, old, antique safe. My wife can't open it even if it's NOT locked.

i once did this. left an ugly brown line where the rubberband rested across the face of my nice white morgan.

before you ask---yes it was in a 2X2 and the rubberband reacted through the clear celophane--or whatever the clear stuff is. Coins were banded for maybe 2 weeks, but were stored in a warm location which probably helped things along considerably.
  • i have 2x2s in the 2x2 boxes, not so hot dupes in the harris folders, mint and proof sets in their orig boxes/envelopes in archival comic book bags.....

  • In a safe, a night stand, and a bookshelf
  • All stored in Intecept Shield albums and boxes in a sturdy locking filing cabinet in an area of the house where the environment stays stable.
  • In a safe, also numerous Dansco albums, some scattered across my computer hutch desktop.
The highest grade items are stored in the deepest recesses of my mind...

I have a diversion stash that I put together. There is about twenty dollars in paper money and several flips in a box marked "Coin Collection". The rest is in various places including a safety deposit box.

Raw in Dansco's; slabbed in PCGS or NGC boxes; currency in plastic currency holders; books on shelves; other interesting stuff like Mint packaged commems and proof and mint sets in two large banker's sized-storage boxes (all FAR away from the prying eyes of my wife and kids who think numismatics is nuts.)
