Local "dealer" called me up, has some cool stuff he is looking at picking up.
One collector has the following for sale.

Dimaggio auto #/20
DiMaggio auto/jsy or pants not sure which. short print but didnt remember the print run.
Jordan Auto 04 Ult Coll
Dual Jordan Auto 03 Ult Coll (Couldn't remember who the other auto was with) #'d/xxx?
Bird Auto #/33 04 Ult Coll
LeBron SPA RC Auto #/500
There is one other card in there too, but I got so excited I forgot to write it down.

Collector wants 2-3 grand for the whole lot, it will cost me 20% more than what the dealer pays.

So for 2400-3600.... Is it worth it?
Lebron is 5-700 on ebay.
Jordan should be 6-800

DiMaggio??? and Bird auto's???

I would have to think the DiMaggio /20 is worth 800 or so?

Any thoughts. This is the first real big lot he's offered to me and with my tax return I could do it. I would keep a few of the cards and sell/trade the rest.

What do you guys think?

I'd do it, that sounds like a fair price...would be able to make a better decision if you had more specific details on the cards though.

It's second hand info. I'll know more Thurday night or Friday morning.

He said the Dual Jordan is #'d but didn't know how much. I think both DiMaggio's might be out of 20 and 25. I know the stuff #/7 or less is fetching over $1000 but out of 20 & 25??? He said he was going to offer the guy $300 each on them, with the assumption they were probably worth about a grand. That is really the cards I am considering keeping. Not much has closed on the bay that I've seen. Oh, I think it's out of SP Legendary too, but again, not 100% sure. Maybe I'll just repost on Friday when I know for sure.

I would do it if I could get it for approximately $3000. Also much will depend on the card that you forgot to write down and the other palyer on the dual auto.

DiMaggio has an auto/jersey (maybe it's pants) card #'d/20 from 2002 ud diamond connection

Sounds like a good deal at that price, but more details would help me offer a more detailed opinion. Jordan autos seem a bit down lately from a few years back, but not that badly. Let us know when you get more info, and if the Lebron SPA is nice and you want to sell it, drop me a PM.

Actually the LeBron SPA is the one I'd for sure keep. I have almost that entire set done. Need LeBron, Wade, Darko, & bosh and I'm done. I even have 40/62 sigs from the set. I would probably sell the rest of the stuff, except maybe the nicer of the two DiMaggio's. It could be Diamond Connection. Was there a price on that? I was figuring them around a grand a piece. But, if Koby is right in his assessment, then the high book is probably just over 3 grand and then it's not really worth it to me. I would like to get all of it in one lot for a reasonable price, then sell off some of it to either pay for the LeBron completely or at least a good chunk of it.

Ok, just found out the Jordan isn't a dual auto, it's a dual jsy with an auto. I am assuming #/23. It's an NC jsy, Bulls Jsy and Auto.
He said he thought it might be Diamond Connection on the DiMaggio.

I'll let you guys know for sure when I find out. Some nice stuff that's for sure. We'll see if I can get it for a price I can afford. that's the tricky part.

Nope, haven't seen them. I was asked if I had interest in any of them. The idea is that I buy them all or I buy none. Kinda this guys M-O. He likes turning a quick profit on stuff he hooks up with. I will get to see them before I buy of course, but I have not seen them yet.

I'll let everyone know what I find out on Thursday or Friday, assuming he buys the stuff for a decent price, apparently that hasn't been worked out yet.
