The local shop Shinder's (I call them Swindler's) has this at $199 a pack! $800 for a box!!!!! I guess some idiot went in there yesterday and bought up 8 boxes from 4 of the local stores. Therefore making each of them sell out. They got it for $149/pk. So today, since the demand is obviously so high.... it jumped to 199/pk. I got it for 170 with my 15% VIP card but still. I won't buy anymore, I just needed some instant gratification. I won't buy anymore of this at all. Nice looking cards though. I wonder if I'll get $50 for that Walton...?

The more I hear about it the happier I am that I didn't buy any.
I just bought a case of 2004 Donruss Classics baseball which I think is a solid product this year.
Gee 14 boxes of that compared to two boxes of Ultimate for the same amount.
I think I will stick with the baseball!

I'm a glutton for punishment, that's all. I saw some really nice pulls coming out of it on this and some other boards so I figured I'd give it a shot. I could've done worse, I could've gotten an Andre Miller Jersey #/200 or something.

if you pay more than 150/pack 500/box you're getting ripped. if I was you I would go back and get another pack or two from that box, you already hit the dud card, the other packs have the star auto, buyback, or multi patch

I understand the urge for the big hit but this product is a lot of show and only some go.

Like I said, a glutton for punishment. I needed the instant gratification of just opening one pack. They only have 1 more pack left. I refuse to pay another $170 for it. My luck I'd get an Antoine Walker jsy or Gerald Wallace or some garbage. Then I'd have to go on a roof top somewhere... At least with an ok rc auto I can say I at least got something alright out of the box. It could have ben Planinic or Kapono.

The buybacks seem to fall 1/case. I read quite a few threads last night and everyone that ripped a case seemed to get one. One guy got a jerry stackhouse buyback #/37. OUCH.

I have to be strong here, I can't see giving them $170 for a pack. I had every intention of buying a box (4pks) if they had it for $500 or so, but when I see people saying they have it in their local shops for 110-140/pk... Besides, the store only has one pack left so I couldn't buy the box even if I wanted too. Other stores have boxes but for $800, $640 for me... I just cant see paying that. I think I'd rather chase more SPA or SPx.

At $170-200 a pack, those packs are quite risky. Better odds playing blackjack or roulette.

As much as I dislike this years SPA basketball, I would rather buy 5 boxes of that rather than one box of Ultimate. You would get 10 autos that way, naturally I would get 5 Ndudu Ebi's, but maybe...just maybe, a decent RC auto also!

I got my case and just popped it on ebay. I've got two or three customers who might buy some, but now I don;t have to worry about disappointing them if they get nothing as well as the fact I'm guaranteed to move it right away. BTW the case is on ebay ending tommorrow night (hint-hint!).

Man, I don't want to buy anymore of this stuff. But because Mr Rookie was teasing me all day about what "might be" in that other box at the shop, I am gonna go there tomorrow and buy it. I won't be able to eat for 2 weeks but that's probably a good thing.

I'll let everyone know what I pull. Here's a hint.. With my luck it will be a Jason richardson Jersey #/1,000,000. ;P

I hope you didn't pay $1400-1600 for a case of 04 Donruss Classics Baseball. I can get you cases of that product around $1,100 easy. That sounds like a worse deal than the Ultimate Basketball:>}.

Well, I went back there and bought the pack. First let me just say damn you Mr.Rookie for teasing me into going back there to spend another $1180. But I have to also give a huge thank you as well. I went back, got the one box still there and wouldn't you know I pulled a Jordan Ultimate Signature!

I'm glad you talked me into going back there. I'll post a scan tonight if anyone wants to see it. I couldn't wait to get back to work to post this!

Unbelievable. I looked at the side of the cello before I opened at thought to myself, well, it's not a jersey or a patch, it isn't thick enough, lets hope it's a good auto. As I opened it from the back I saw the bulls logo and thought "NOOOO KIRK HINRICH...NOOOO" Then I saw "MICHAE" and I knew it was nice!

I'll post tonight. I had a leBron auto out of finite that I pulled. It was actually an ok signature. (See thread on Lebrons evolving 'graph)

It doesn't appear to short printed, but it's still a cool a$$ auto and it is Michael Jordan. I have had some incredible luck lately.

Thing is, I was really hoping they didn't have the other box, but I got my state tax refund of $300 and figured what the he11. SO I bought it, opened there and some guy buying a porno mag over lunchtime was pretty impressed!

He asked what it might be worth and when I told him I thought he was gonna stomp on my toes and take it outta my hands.

This is the first Jordan auto I've ever pulled, so I'm really happy. Very nice card, very clean auto a fun pull. I was only going to buy two packs anyway, unless the boxes were around $400-500 but that's not the case so my limit was 2 packs. So that means I won't be buying anymore...unless I get an awesome price on a box in KC... Luckily, I did beat the UD gods.

I have to admit, UD has been pretty good to me over the last several months though. I have pulled a lot of garbage. (see 14 boxes of SPA BK & 1 Melo, the rest not in top 13 draft picks!) Or 7 tins of SP Sig and my best card was Ewing auto.

Now with the $1700 I get back from Federal taxes.... what do I buy? I like the looks of Topps Contemporary Collection BK but no Jordan, Kobe or Bron possibilities. I will buy one box/pk of Exquisite for 5 bills just cuz I'm a yahoo... I really want to rip a case of something... Maybe wait for Home Team Heroes Baseball?

Topps puts out some nice products, both with the vintage guy autos and then rookie sets. Playoff

I might get it slabbed. I dunno yet. I have all my other big auto's slabbed. Problem is, most of them are PSA 8, that's ok for me, not so good for resale. I have a 01 SP SOTT Tiger /274 PSA 8, 04 SP SIG Kobe /100 PSA 8, 03 UD Update Ripken Gold /99 PSA 8. I had a Finite Lebron PSA 9 as well, but I sold that one, got too much for it not to sell it. I could buy 2 now for what I sold that one for.

I will probably keep this. It's a gorgeous card, much cooler than the scan shows cuz the foil is almost like a refractor. And I pulled it which gives me an emotional attachment. And it's my first Jordan auto pull. I actually pulled my first jersey of his earlier this year out of UD Glass. Wizards uni though. Dumb.
