Is this GAI's solution?

There was a thread not long ago about ill-fitting GAI holders and how there may be too much space between the plastic. As a result, cards slipped under the black gasket and some cards were damaged. Is the following holder what GAI plans to do from now on?

GAI holder with black gasket and transparent plastic sleeve

I hope this is just a temporary solution as it is very unattractive.

OH MY GOD IS THAT AWFUL!

I would crack every card out of it's case and send it somewhere else if my cards came back in that holder. It almost look like someone made it by hand and cut the "gasket" out with their teeth. Terrible.

WOW! And I thought PSA mylar was bad! What a collection of junk surrounding that card! Sure looks like a plain old eyesore!

It looks like they didn't have a correctly sized insert for this card...and used a big one with a baggie. I agree that it is ugly...a bit uglier than the mylar insert that you see from time to time for strange sized cards in PSA holders.

    from time to time

    ......how's about all the time?

I mean c'mon, PSA doesn't even bother to have a holder to fit Allen & Ginter cards.
......... well they did at one time, but not now apparently.

but hey, at least now that they self-insure parcels, they can make more $$ by raising shipping fees whilst their cost drops.

Global should be embarrased for putting something like that out, absolutley embarrased.

I would imagine that the mylar sleeve would have better if they simply cut the sleeve only versus the insert.

Neither are especially attractive. Custom sized holders are definitely better.

It looks like GAI places the card in a plastic pouch (rather than a sleeve) before holdering the card. I guess that beats having cards pinched by black inserts when the black inserts do not fit.

A simple solution would have been to put a black insert on both sides, thus framing the mylar bag and looking like a professional grading job rather than a hack job.
