What would you do??

Hi all:

I recently sent 2 cards back to PSA for Mechanical Errors. The cards were gone for 7 weeks and when I rec'd the cards back last Friday I was utterly amazed. They did absolutely nothing. They sent the cards back to me untouched. Frankly, the more I thought about it the more angry I got. Why would I go through the trouble of sending the cards back and waiting forever if nothing was wrong with the cards? The cards had the wrong years on them. One was labeled 1982 Steelers Police when if you simply turn the card over is states plain as day 1983 (the other card was labeled 1983 when it should have been 1982). I even wrote a note on both cards explaining the error and what the correction should be.

My question is should I just send in one card at a time to eliminate confusion on their part as the cards are of the same player? I want this corrected.

    Jeff,

I had the same problem recently. Without calling, I attributed it to
the mass amount of cards they are handling right now.
I will not be submitting any cards until the end of summer when
everyone is hopefully on vacation and they have more time to relax
and take care of these things.image

  • Jeff- I feel your pain and frustration. I would call PSA. tell them the problem and than address the package directly to that person with the changes you want to be made. Hopefully a little personal attention will solve the problem.

I sent some cards in for mechanical corrections back in January(names mis-spelled). I called PSA prior to shipping them to find out the procedures, and they gave me a name(Ivan I think) at PSA to address the package to. The cards came back corrected with my other shipment I had sent in.

Definitely give them a call before shipping anything else.

I had a similar problem, but it was resolved quickly by PSA. I wrote a letter briefly explaining the problem, and sent the card in seperately from any submissions. Got it back in three weeks. I think if you call them, though, as mentioned...that should do the trick.

  • Broker, I think PSA should at least compensate you for your shipping cost since you sent them the first time and they did nothing and you will probably have to pay for shipping again if you send them in for a second go around.
  • I also feel your pain.....

I sent in a large submission in January 04 that had a bunch of cards that were graded correct (IMO) but that were labeled wrong.

I re-submitted them in Feb 04 to have the labels changed and they changed the holders only and gave me back the same labels.

I then sent them in March 04' once again and they once again only changed the holders but re-used the wrong labels a third time.

I think that a former PRO grader has went under-cover to secretly spy on and destroy PSA's reputation......maybe this the fine work of Darth Grader?????????
