PCGS MS68 1979 P Wide Rim SBA?

I have just started getting interested in the SBA Dollars and found an interesting bit of information about the 1979P wide rim coin. I found this teletrade auction Link for a PCGS MS68 1979P wide rim coin not attributed on the holder and looked at the PCGS pops and it still doesn't show any in MS68. I wonder if the one 1979P MS68 is actually a wide rim coin?

This coin is difficult even in choice condition. I've never personnaly seen a gem (MS-65).

About 2% to 4% of mintage is the wide rim, or near date.

The only MS-65 I saw was a PCI-65 that would have never made PCGS-65. Was a 64 coin.

That coin you linked sold in 1998 for $850.00. If it really is an MS68 and a Wide Rim, then that coin would bring at least $5,000.00 today I think. However, considering the coin is still in an unattirbuted holder, then maybe it really is only a narrow rim coin, not wide rim.

I would love to see a pic of it if it truly is a wide rim.

I have never made an MS67, but have made many 65s and 66s. I still own 4 of the 66s I made. I also still own 9 of the 65s and 4 of the 64s I made.

Which would be worth more the wide or narrow rim in MS67?
