Can anyone tell me about Where this came from or what it Really is? (Vintage 50's item)

what is it a stamp from or for?

anyone know anything about it?
(besides the fact that it looks stupid in a slab?!)

    Those were actually cards issued in 13 card strips from vending machines - with the backs having some kind of playing field, it is believed it was a game of some kind reminiscent of the 51T red and blues.

    note: it says home run below his name, on the Al Simmons it says ball under his name. 2004 Stand. Cat. BB cards: NM: 50$.

    I would think that after all these years that a holder for anything could be made. we send men to the moon yet we can't make a holder to fit all cards? what is up with that?

    I guess I did not do too bad getting this
    at $10 (even if it is OC)

    I just collect Campanella and had never seen it before
    so I bought it (I figured it was worth $10 to see what
    it was...)
