Any opinions on whether the prices for these MS68 coins will fall any lower? Now that the US Mint has finally sold out the uncirculated sets maybe the population will stabilize?
Thanks,

I so much want an MS68 99D, but do not feel that the prices are as low as they should be.
I am banking on them falling to around $100.00, maybe less. Of course, I will pay up to $115.00 for one.
Remember, there are still a few million that have not been submitted for grading. There are also probably hundreds or thousands still in the original mint shipping boxes that have gone unsearched for quality gems.
Anyway, anyone else have any input?
Oh well.
which have not been graded or widely collected before. It does take time for the
better coins to be found and as the popularity increases there will be more people
looking for the coins raw. Long term the price depends largely on demand which is
largely unpredictable, and supply which requires one to do some looking to get a
good feel for. Supply is impossible to understand until all the coins have been released
by the mint (and fed) because of the tendency for all coins to bunch up. The mint might
have only 1% of the mintage but it contains 99% of the gems, or conversely the gems
may have been released first.
I haven't paid much attention to this coin specifically but have noted the quality for the
date runs fairly good on average. Sometimes this implies the high grade coins will be
more numerous and sometimes not. Since this coin is so late date and so many are
aware that high grade coins bring premiums, it would seem that a substantial fraction
of these will have been checked. It should be remembered that just as with the older
coins not all coins will be sent in for grading. Many collectors are satisfied to have a raw
MS-68 or are not confident that their coin will warrant he cost of encapsulation. There
are growing numbers of collectors putting together raw high grade modern sets.
