Nope, but I am sure he likes that you posted his name and address on the internet

Me neither. Look up his phone number and post it. I'll call him.

If I knew how to put one of those smiley laughing faces here, I would do it.

thanks. just curious if anyone has had problems with this person. i purchased a raw card "alcindor rookie" claimed to be NM in february. when i received it, i knew it wasn't NM. however, i submitted it to PSA (first submission, hoping for the best) and it came back as a VG3. i guess i was anxious to have it graded and learned right off the bat how you have to think your cards are not really as sharp as you think they are. i was also hoping to make a little profit on the card. based on what psa7 alcindor's are going for on ebay, i may have broken even on the purchase if it had graded a 7, but the description stated NM (again, wishful thinking).

i've been a collector for several years (just been out of the loop for several years until this year when my youngest son took a major interest in sports) and not really very nit picky when it came to corners as far as grading is concerned. so i thought i could send the card to psa and would grade maybe a 7 (wishful thinking since i had never had anything graded until this). when it came back a VG3, i notified this person and he said to send him the card and he would refund my money (i have all of the emails). i told him it had been graded and he wanted to know the cost. i assumed he was going to refund that as well. his last email said that he received my card and he would pay me in 1-2 days via paypal. that was march 6. still nothing and he's quit replying to emails.

i know i'll not see the money but i thought maybe members of this forum may want to know this, since it seems you all are very tight at times when it comes to keeping others in the loop about these types of experiences.

i apologize for putting the persons address, i have removed it.

    Thanks,

    David (LD_Ferg)

  • Don't apologize if the guy screwed you over. A PSA 7 and a PSA 3 are not even in the same stratosphere when it comes to condition, so he knew he was taking you for a ride. I say post the guy's phone number, address, social security number (but not Ozzie Smith's), date of birth, ex-wife's naked picture, and a picture of a Cod wrapped in newspaper to scare him a little.

  • i agree with the above, the guy screwed u double, he got the money and the card. no need to apologize to him, i'd be making him apologize to me in person image

i was really curious if there was anyone that has dealt with this person to see if he has a history or not.

actually, after going back thru some paypal accounts and emails, the card was described as EX-NRMT, still well below a VG3.

ebay id: stinastoy - NARU - feedback was 100% positive with 222 feedbacks.

    Thanks,
