How is NTC on Authentication?

I know (believe) that their grading standards are questionable, but what of their abilities to authenticate coins? Specifically, Gold Coins.

They don't offer an authenticity guarantee, do they?
Based on the way they grade, personally, I would not trust anything they do. That's my opinion.
