Lemonade JFK 1999-D Style

attempt #2:

Hello,

I've had poor luck going through halves lately, only two silver in the last $400 and one of the banks I go to was recently cleaned out of halves and hasn't gotten any more in.

Anyway, I've gone through ~350 1999-D Kennedy halves and most (85%) have been uncirculated. So I've pulled 79 of the prettier ones out and kept them. I'm hoping to sell/trade them at some point down the road.

Any thoughts on the wisdom of this?

Thanks,

AJ

  • Is it wise to hold onto something that cost $.50 and is worth more? Heck yeah!image
    You shout in your sleep.
Perhaps the price is just too steep.
Is your conscience at rest if once put to the test?
You awake with a start to just the beating of your heart.

Well, it's less than $40 you're tying up. It's probably a great idea to save some gems of
most everything but there are a lot of people doing it now days. If these are nice attrac-
tive coins, then yes save them. If they are run of the mill then you might want to just save
one for your set and use the others to buy or seek better ones. There are probably most
of the halfs from the mid-'90's to date still in mint storage.
