ANACS and PCGS holders

When I got my ANACS coin, I noticed a major difference in the two holder styles. One is the ANACS one is smaller. The another is the different type of housing material they are housed in. NGC and ANACS use some type of white foam it looks like to house the coins inside the plastic slab. PCGS uses a type of suction holder (I think). It's hard to tell. But I'd really like to know why they use different housing materials and what the foam like substance NGC and ANACS uses to house its coins inside of the plastic holder is.

Thanks!

Its a rubber like subtance in a anacs slab with a hole in it.
Pcgs slab is like a snap together holder with a impression for the size of the coin.
  • The thing I dislike most about slabs is the fact that only PCGS slabs enable you to see the edge of the coin.

Why the other companies put coins in "tight" slabs is beyond me. image
