Best pitcher in baseball: Dontrelle Willis, Best hitter in baseball: Dontrelle Willis

Wow, not only has he not given up a single run in his first 11 innings pitched, he's also 6 for 6 with 2 doubles and a home run. Maybe the Marlins are pulling the same mistake with this kid as the Red Sox did with Ruth by keeping him as a pitcher.

Or of course maybe it's just pure luck so far this season

He'll keep this up until Dusty Baker starts playing with his head again. image
  • Too bad he isn't in the American League so he could DH. I just saw the highlights of his hits. That homerun was smashed!! His swing looks vastly superior to most NL pitchers.

the marlins have by far the most talented young rotation of pitchers in the whole league.

this team is the real deal

castillo and pierre will combine for more than 75 steals and more than 350 hits.

cabrera its just amazing! 6 homers so far

lowell is by far the most underated 3rd base of the NL

and benitez might have a come back year

selfish, greedy Pudge could have been part of a great team.

  • He is fun to watch. Love how he's got stick too. Looks like he is just loving it out there like a kid. Reminds me of Bob Gibson talent without the hornery behavior. Hoping he becomes an ambassador for the game.
  • While I hated seeing the giants and cubs lose a shot at the world series against my beloved yanks...
the marlins have truly impressed me.
I am officially on the bandwagon and dontrelle is my driver.
    I love watching him play.
Beckett's high rising fast ball is beautiful to watch... pierre, cabrerra, lowell...
I like this team a lot.
  • Now taking Dontrelle orders before the listing blitz starts....I knew I had to wait.....Ebay got me hooked with Dontrelle last summer and except for the only PSA 10 Gold ever which I sold to my favorite bidder, Es-Steeve for $800, I have been sitting on the rest after waiting too long....time to crank the Dontrelle train from shoebox to Ebay.
  • Mike, I wouldn't necessarily say now is the best time to sell. It wouldn't surprise me to see Dontrelle be 12-4 by the time the All Star break rolls around. I was telling you that in the offseason when you listed that PSA 9 Gold Refractor that I told you I wish I had the money for at the time. Just watch his pitch count per game, if he goes 120 or more pitches in four out of six starts, then worry. He's too small to be cranking out that many pitches that hard. Pedro has the exact same problem, which is why he always misses eight or more starts in the second half.

he pitched well in his last start...but not amazing.

in 5 inings he gave up 4 hits and 4 BB.

he is very charismatic and he is only like 21 or 22, so who knows what he will do.

Beckett on the other hand is pure talent if he gets a few breaks here and there he might win the K title as well as 20 games

choi is weird ..he has 6 hits and 5 are homers unless you hit 80 HRs you will need to get some singles and doubles
