Problem with Ike!

My coin looks like it's growing something! Anybody have an helpful tips for me? I was handed down this Eisenhower in it's original package.....brown box, red felt, plastic holder. All of the particles you see are pretty much on the outside. It appears that some of the red felt has found it's way in and something else is happening along the rightside rim. I don't want to remove it from the original holder, unless this is something that will get worse. Any ideas? Thanks!

It looks like normal haze--that plagues the brown Ikes, I'm afraid... I think a dip will get rid of it, but I'm not positive.
