Return Shipping Via FedEx

If I set up a FedEx account is the FedEx cost the only return shipping fee I will incur?
Any help appreciated. Thanks

  • Hi Kimo75,

The return FedEx shipping will be a little more expensive than the sending FedEx fee because of the weight of the package. (i.e. the encapsulated cards). Haven't sent mine any other way, a 200 card shipment from PSA was around $74 FedEx 2-day return shipping.

    Hope this is useful,

If you can get PSA to use Fedex Ground, you will save a bunch of money. The FedEx Express rates are more than the PSA/USPS rates.

The Fedex charges are the only charges I incurred when using their service.

I STRONGLY reccomend against using FedEx Ground. It is cheaper, but there's a tradeoff.

FedEx Ground is a wholly-owned subsidiary of FedEx and the delivery drivers are contracted. The driver wears the FedEx Ground uniform and drives the blue-and-green truck but he is a self-employed contractor - not a true FedEx employee. As a result, the service (and handling) can vary a great deal.

If you use FedEx 3-day, 2-day or overnight, those items are always handled by FedEx and the driver is an actual FedEx employee. The level of service is more consistent and the handling of the items seems to be quite a bit better.

Same company (kind of) but run differently.

Perhaps others' experience with FedEx ground is fine, but I'd drive from Chicago to CA to personally pick up before handing FedEx Ground a valued box of cards.
