Hi all,
I am submitting to ANACS for the first time and going with the 5 day deal. Is it really going to be a 5 day turnaround?

Yes. I've done numerous 5 day submissions, and they've not missed a one for me.

<< <i>They're really good on their turnaround times. Last time I used them, they got them out on the fifth day. Be forwarned about their economy, it means economy as in months and months. >>
Interesting. The last few times I used them, economy wise, I go them back in 31 , 33 and 23 days, that's calendar days, not business days.
Admittedly, I haven't used them in a few months, but I intend to again. PCGS only gets CC morgans from me anymore after I went 112 days last year on an economy submission of 4 simple Morgans. Combining that with getting burned badly on a 50 proof cameo Franklin, I'm pretty much jaded with the "top" grading service. I still don't know how a Frankie that I had looked at by several Frankie experts who all said a lock 65 Cam, with a shot at 66 comes back as a 63.
I'm not even going to waste money resubmitting to them, once burned, twice shy. It's now accross the street and I'm patiently waiting. I decided not to use a sledgehammer on it after all.
I do appreciate this board, I don't want to get banned, but the truth is the truth and frankly, I've come to believe they don't really care about collectors at all, Just their preferred dealers.
I guess I got off on a rant there and off-topic, but ANACS is well worth looking into as an alternative IMO.

I don't know what is going on with PCGS, but I do hear their economy times are improving. I used to be really happy with them three years ago when you could count on getting your economy submissions back within six weeks. The last submission I sent them early last year took 15 weeks, and that was just not acceptable to me. For all my inexpensive Morgans I have needed to get slabbed, I have used NGC since then. If and when I see PCGS get their times down to under eight weeks I will use them again. I like their holders, as a buyer I like coins in their slabs, but quite frankly, the customer service is somewhat lacking.
