Mudflap02 say it isn't so!

Hi Mudflap02,

You didn't get taken on one of those sheet cut BGS graded OPC cards did you?

I hope you get some money back, but passing these on isn't always the best thing to do. I have buried several of these after I found out what they were.

Good luck,

    Scott;

    You got taken too? I hope Mudflap wisened up better then you or me. I got stuck on 1980 and 1981 OPCs that were BGS 9.0 or 9.5... of course neither would cross! Now, they reside in the spokes on my bike! LOL!

    But, if he doesn't crack'em out of the BGS holder, I have no problem with him passing them on. To a hardcore BGS collector, these cards would be "legit"... I think these same guys also buy bridges in Brooklyn though...
  • My list is long a painful since I grabbed a few before I even attempted to send them to PSA.

    1977 OPC #6 BVG 9
    1977 OPC #65 BVG 9.5
    1978 OPC #6 BVG 9
    1980 OPC #303 BGS 9
    1982 OPC #90 BGS 8.5
    1983 OPC #360 BGS 9

    I think all totaled the destruction was in the neighborhood of $850 and all of them were bought from "MajorYankeefan".

    But hey, the stories of my stupidity never end, I'll be adding a really good one later tonight.

    Scott!

    Ouch! $850 is not chump change... what have you done with them? And did you have to spend more money to get legit copies yet? If so, you caould argue that the cost to you was worse than $850 because I'm sure you paid more for PSA copies later than if you'd purchased them a few years ago.

    No fair on the fish tales! I have to wait ten hours for the next installment? Heck, I'l be asleep by then!

  • Rub some more salt in the wound. I think I got PSA 9 copies of the 1977 OPC #6 and the 1978 OPC #6, I would have to go back through some old emails to find out what I paid for them.

    Scott;

    Sorry... don't mean to bring up bad memories or rub any salt... but I was just emphasizing that these charlatan sellers are costing collectors more than just the cost of the bogus card... you have to consider the added cost they force you to incure to replce the card at a later date... it truly sucks.
