Suppose a collector consigns cards to an Ebay seller then bids on the items in order to drive up the price, is this allowed? I'm thinking of bidding on some items that I know have been consigned.

not trying to imply that you're doing anything wrong, i just don't understand what you're asking
<< <i>what part of 'no' don't you understand? >>
One reply says "no", the other says "yes." So that's the part of "no" I don't understand. Why so hostile?

"nope"
Which of those says yes.
As far as your other question- see my other thread and you will understand that my hostility is NOT towards you........ (just trying to blow off some steam)
<< <i>are you planning on bidding your own items up? or are you just concerned about guys bidding on their own items in a consignment?

It's a fair question so I'm not trying to be a smarta_s with my reply. But if I was trying to deceive I wouldn't ask advice from the very people who might be bidding on my items. Actually, there's a very reputable seller who knows what I seek and told me that one of his consignors will soon be selling such cards through him. Therefore, I'm not worried about the seller, but the consignor. The cards have appeared on Ebay.
<< <i>Don't do it. It's highly unethical. >>
Again, I'm not the collector who consigned the items, nor am I the seller. If this thread gets out of hand I'll simply provide my Ebay username (many know it anyway) and then you can see what what I'm bidding on and/or can contact the seller.
Jonnyrock - I apologize as I misread the replies. And sorry to hear about another post that seemed to have upset you.
don't apologize please- all you did was ask a question.
I'm just in an angry mood.
