Who remembers Coinmasters?

It was an online coin club kind of thing (website plus an email newsletter), that had a meltdown in 2001.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    I was a member of that, it was good for a while but as time went one more and more arguing. Used to be a few good people on there, as usual as it grew bigger it attracted the wrong type of people and things went down hill fast. image

    I left in the midst of the meltdown. WINS, which sprang up from some of the membership is still going strong.
