Economy submission -- just over two months turnaround:
LINE # CERT # COIN DATE DENOMINATION VARIETY COUNTRY GRADE
1 21487327 1818 1C USA Enviromental Damage (surprise to me, I'll have to check this one more closely when it gets back)
2 21487328 1872 2C USA XF40BN (big win -- I bought it as VF20 and thought it would grade VF30)
3 21487329 1865 3CN USA AU58 (slider -- was hoping for MS64)
4 21487330 1884 5C USA MS64 (crackout from an ANACS holder -- thought it would probably go 64 with a slim chance of 65)
5 21487331 1909-S 10C USA Cleaning (not surprising, was hoping it would grade VF)
6 21487332 1876 20C USA AU55 (thought this might be BB for cleaning, but it graded what I thought)
7 21487333 1872 S$1 USA XF40 (thought this might be BB for cleaning, thought it would be XF40 with a shot at XF45)
Date Received: 02/06/2004
Date Shipped: No Date Specified
So not too bad overall:
1 up surprise
1 slider
3 graded as expected
2 BBs (1 was expected)
Since the 3-center is eligible for a free grading this quarter, I'll have to take a closer look when it gets back and decide if it's heading back to California...

Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
<< <i>Not bad. Congrats, esp on the 2center!! >>
Thanks -- I was pretty surprised myself. I'm going to have to sit down and take a good look at this one when it comes back to see how this coin justifies an XF-40 grade.

WA,
PCGS seems to be very liberal on 1872 two centers, when they have overall nice eye-appeal. I had the same thing happen to me. One came back 1 1/2 grades higher than I expected.
