Tell me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this card look a bit narrow, side to side? I know lots of the 67's have narrow borders, but this one just seems a bit too narrow. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Link
Unless there is something wrong with the scan itself. Reson being using calipers to measure, the amount border on the right side of the card fluctuates while it remains just about the same on the left.

what makes you think this is WIWAG? just because it isn't a perfect 9?
and the reason the border looks strange is because its a diamond cut
when I see an older high end card graded mint 9 or gem 10, I believe it very necessary to inspect the card carefully (this is true for cards graded by any company). If there is a clear flaw in the card to my naked eye, I stay far far away from that card. There are too many crooks out there with the time and ability to alter cards. It is great to have PSA, SCG, BGS, etc. but they are not 100% accurate in their grading or in insuring that the card they placed in the holder remains there- WIWAG. Similarly, I am very hesitant to buy BGS 9.5s or 10s without carefully inspecting them as they are even more lax about letting trimmed cards pass. Thus, this is a card I would avoid.
goodriddance189- elaborate on diamond cut if you would please.
Just to end the debate on this card I just wanted to let you all know that this is not a WIWAG card!
This card was submitted by me personally in March 2004 and was returned to me from PSA just last week.
If anyone needs to verify this information please contact PSA with the certification number and they should be able to tell you who submitted the card and when it was graded.
This card came from my personal 1967 Topps set and was hand picked from three other sets to send into PSA for grading.
I do not believe that the card has a diamond tilt to it, but I will confirm that the centering is a little off left to right.
I think that the real reason this card came back as a nine is the razor sharp corners, awesome gloss and brillant color. The back also has a dark green sharp color to it.
I understand that some collectors want all nines to have perfect centering but that is not a required guideline as described by PSA in its grading criteria.
If anyone wants to get another scan of the card, private mail me at jeej67@hotmail.com and I will send you one.
Thanks and good luck bidding.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Jim, I didn't mean to make any accusations or stir up any trouble. It was just an honest observation on my part regarding the width of the card, and how it looked to me. If it was a recent grade by PSA, I'm sure that they measured the card, the same way I would.

I'd stay far away from that card.
