How ridiculous is Beckett? I will tell you!

They are literally about 6 weeks or more behind on the correct pricing for the Alexis Rios 2002 Elite RC/1000, so they finally raise it up to $150 this month and now collectors will be scurrying to get these again because of the jump in Beckett. The way is playing in the minors so far, I wouldn't pay more than about $60 a pop for these if anyone is expecting a call up in September.

Laroche isn't doing very well either in the majors. I saw him swing at a pretty ugly pitch yesterday when I was watching the Cubs on T.V. Kerry Wood made him look silly. Look for Julio Franco to get more playing time since he is hitting much better.

Now is the time to sell the Rios cards since most people will be trying to grab them now ( again ).

Prince Fielder finally dropped down to $100 this month ( 2002 Prospect Premiers ). He does have 2 HR's already though.

In other news -

Jonny Gomes in Tampa AAA already has 3 HR's.

Jamie D'Antona is playing pretty well also. ( .313, 1 HR, few RBI's )

7 MVP awards, the single season HR record, career walks record, single season walks record, 700HR/500SB, and two batting titles near 40 years old. How can one argue that those aren't stats of the greatest to ever play the game??? All this and there is still more to come!!!! Bonds:2005 NL MVP. Or are you going to doubt him again?

    If a .200 average, 1 2B, 2 RBI's, and 4 K's in 15 at bats is looking good, then I stand corrected.

I know Kerry Wood makes everyone look bad for the most part, but I still disagree Kuhlman. It is very early though.

    Take care!

Laraoche has a sweet swing, he is just a rookie. I would bet he wikll be a 300 hitter with 20-30 hr power. Might take a year or 2 but if you can grab his auto rookie cards cheap i would recomend it.

From a Braves fan - you're correct for now.
Kuhlmann - right on target - this guy has a sweet swing - look for good things if he goes to school on the pitchers. The team looks so different this year tho - I'm not sticking my neck out - see you AFTER the all star game.
