Masters "Monkey off my back!"

Auto Flag:
Well, I'm not a golf fan, but I do watch the Masters every year. The course is quite a sight. Well, I did know that Phil Mickelson had never won a major and was quite the goat for that. Well congratulations are in order for the 2004 Master's champion. And of course, ebay is right there to celebrate. The amount of stuff for sale probably jumped 400% today! A good omen for Phil was the fact that with only about 7 hole in ones in the history of the Masters, there were TWO today!

Edit for: BTW Tiger who?

  • Why does that sig seem to start with an "A"?

And what part of "Phil Mickelson" does that loop underneath represent? image
  • It's about time for him and his skills deserve it but from what I've seen, he's a jerk. From the one tournament 2 years ago or so when he stormed off like a brat when they finally found his ball after like 20 minutes of searching when it was lost and he didn't want them to find it, to the Tiger inferior equipment comment, to the "it doesn't suck" comment this week, etc. He just comes accross as arrogant, spoiled and just not that great of a person. Sorry to Charles Barkley, but I like role models!

Everything I've ever heard about Phil is that he's a really nice guy. Personally, I found nothing wrong with the "It doesn't suck" comment. He said it in a lighthearted way and it was true. Having Tiger Woods 9 shots back on the final round if you're the leader DOESN'T suck.

As for the comment on Tiger Woods' equipment, I think Phil has proven correct in his assessment. A large part of the problem with Tiger's game right now is that he can't hit his driver in the fairway and he's getting outdriven by as much as 30 yards on some holes now. Tiger relies on superior distance as a part of his game and right now he hasn't got it. And a good chunk of that is due to the (relatively) inferior equipment he's using.
