Taxes Done Giveaway, last winner historygeek, 1st post

I should warn you, because Uncle Sam took so much of my money EVERYTHING in this giveaway is liteside in origin! I've got 6 items picked out, one is just awful and the others are decent but don't fit my collections at all. One item is a darkside book(let). I get this stuff at my local coin club as door prizes.

This is a progressive giveaway,
MadMarty chose the mystery coin, a 1911 Barber half:

Ante, is the second winner, this is the 1921 Colorized Morgan Dollar:

drizzam99 is the third winner, this is the 1987 commem dollar for the 200th anniversary of the US Constitution:

    Or maybe a whining post.

    I'm nearly finished as well, and I can't believe just how much my pocket is getting picked both by Uncle Sam and the state of Minnesota. They really steal (and squander) your money here in this state!! We are the third or fourth highest taxed state in the country and it is hard to believe we are not #1.

    The worse news is that while tax rates aren't really dropping this year over last year, my company reduced 2004 withholding by a substantial amount, and I will have to shell out a whopping bunch of estimated taxes by April 15.image That is what is really kicking me in the posterior.

    So, the nonwinners of elverno's giveaway will be entered in my giveaway, which will consist of something out of my rolls of UNC decimal coinage or maybe a BU '53 farthing.

    Please include me as well. I just filed my Form 4868 Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, so I took the cowards way out for now. I'll have my headache giveaway in four months, when the extension runs out....

    Yay for having taxes done image But please don't enter my name-- I will be flying to Boston on the 14th and back to Japan on the 17th (for work unfortunately) and somehow I don't think I will be awake enough to participate should I be lucky enough to win...too bad though, April 15th a year ago is when I got my sign-in here.

    Not to rub salt in the wounds but I thought I'd toss this to the top for those who missed it on the first pass. I also found a little book on Eddie VIII coins (patterns really I guess) by a guy named Trowbridge that I'll also be giving away. Nothing special, but it really does not fit in my collection... image
