K-393 "BARON VON HÜNEFELD AND DR. HERMANN KÖHL, Captain" Reverse shop model, 1928, Cast Iron with nickel plating, RRRR.
To commemorate their Europe-America flight with airplane Bremen in 1928. First flight from East to West direction.
Reverse: Cherubs (putto) on dolphins sound horns as monoplane flies over the sea. Uneven nickle finish. 124.6mm
Model was used in the reduction process to create dies for striking. This medal was struck in bronze, silver and gold in both 36mm and 60mm formats and struck in bronze in the 120mm size.
